Erik proposed during a romantic evening stroll through the Haidplatz in Regensburg, Germany on Sunday, 13 June 1999.

(Mine is in gold. The ring is manufactured by Niessing, the originator of the tension set rings -- a style whereby the diamond is held in place between the ends of the band.)

Erik and Thea were married on Sunday, 17 October 1999, at the Lutheran Church in Basking Ridge, NJ. A reception followed at the Auberge Swiss Restaurant in Berkeley Heights. Here are photos from our wedding day:
