Our friend Constanze had a visit from her cousin Astrid. They were planning to visit Keukenhof and invited us to join them. Although Keukenhof had just opened, there was a wide variety of bulbs in bloom -- including crocus, daffodils (narcissus), hyacinths, tulips, and a few fritillaria.

Thijs wanted to play in the fountain.
This year, the sculpture theme was varied. In this section it was Viking Boats.

Keukenhof has a few sample gardens, including this "container garden" showing how to decorate with bulbs on your patio or balcony.

Constanze really admired the red tulips, and is already planning what she will plant at her new home.
